New for Spring 2012 at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort

LEGO® themed Hotel and LEGOLAND Star Wars™ Miniland Experience

March 2012 will be an unforgettable year for the UK’s most family-friendly destination, the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, with the opening of an exciting indoor Star Wars™ Miniland Experience and amazing fully themed LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel.

The new indoor fully themed Star Wars Miniland Experience will painstakingly recreate seven of the most famous scenes from the beloved Star Wars films including a scene from the animated series: Star Wars: The Clone Wars, using around 1.5 million LEGO® bricks.

Planned in close consultation with Lucasfilm Ltd, Star Wars Miniland will follow a chronological path through the Star Wars timeline and feature around 2,000 LEGO models in 1:20 scale from the planets Naboo, Geonosis, Kashyyyk, Mustafar, Tatooine, Hoth, Endor and Christophsis. Created by dozens of model designers and builders, landscapers, animation electricians and technicians, the area will also feature authentic Star Wars sounds, actions and lighting effects further immersing visitors into the Star Wars saga and bringing the experience to life.

The unique, 150 room, LEGO themed hotel will delight families with young children with its imaginatively themed Pirates, Kingdom and Adventure bedrooms and a host of premium facilities with LEGO inspired twists. Situated in a tranquil, convenient location right on the edge of the theme park, the colour, playful fun and interactivity of LEGO will be stamped throughout from the spectacular entrance through to the restaurant and outdoor lakeside seating area. Dazzling play areas, including a LEGO Pirates themed splash pool, will inspire little imaginations and needless to say there will be plenty of LEGO to play with and surprises in store for all guests when it opens on Saturday 17 March 2012.

Finally, families will be able to welcome new marine creatures into the mesmerising aquatic environment of Atlantis, the world first submerged underwater LEGO ride, opened in Spring 2011, and there will be a full calendar of imaginative and fun events throughout 2012.

The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel and LEGOLAND Star Wars Miniland Experience will add to the already unparalleled offer for children aged 2-12, which includes over 55 interactive rides, live shows, building workshops, driving schools and attractions, including the much-loved Miniland. Add to this, fantastic eateries, a giant LEGO shop all set within 150 acres of beautiful parkland and this is one adventure that needs more than a day to experience.
