LEGOLAND® Hotel

October 2011

Work on the hotel construction site is progressing well with the superstructure of the building being completed, the roof tiling installed and the ‘watertight’ stage achieved.  The coloured cupolas and some of the feature turrets are now visible so the ‘LEGO’ feel of the building is becoming evident.

Over the next few weeks the scaffold covering the building will be removed and the appearance and finishes of the hotel will become visible. After the removal of the scaffold it will be possible to carry out final external theming including the hard and soft landscaping that surrounds the hotel. In the first weeks of November the final touches will be put on the Porte cachere (entrance canopy).

Meanwhile, the fitting out stage is on schedule and the first phases of bedrooms are due for completion by the middle of November. This phased approach to the completion of the bedrooms ensures that quality can be maintained and checked in a controlled manner. The restaurant, pool and public areas are progressing in parallel with the bedrooms and in early November the wall finishes are due to be completed.
