LEGOLAND® is the perfect setting for our Active Learning Programmes, all which are National Curriculum relevant and specifically designed to support the learning needs of children aged 5 to 13 years old.

As you would expect, all our workshops utilise the world's finest educational play materials: LEGO bricks!

Workshops last about 45 minutes, are run by LEGOLAND Windsor's trained educational staff, and are adaptable for use by pupils with special educational needs.

Free planning tickets - After you have paid for your school trip, we’ll send two complimentary tickets for a ‘planning visit’ before the actual day.

Explore movement and forces, including gravity and friction. Using a LEGO® vehicle, pupils investigate the effect of weight and friction on the speed of their vehicle in a head to head race on our racers ramp.

Pupils are introduced to the concept of structure and stability. Pupils must understand the concept of strong structures and the disastrous effects of an earthquake before taking on the challenge of designing and building their own towers to test on our Tremor Tables. Make sure you check out Miniland to see lots of LEGO towers and buildings created from over 43 million LEGO bricks!saving operations in the place of micro surgery. Try out Pirate Falls where pupils can see a variety of computer controlled models and systems and get very wet in the process.

Bring your pupils to our brand new workshop where they will get the chance to explore habitats, adaption and classification. They will put their learning into practise by designing their very own LEGO fish and then have the opportunity to fast track onto the world's first underwater submarine ride to study real rays, fish, shark and other amazing sea life. They must become real researchers by filling out a research card with some handy activities to complete back in school. Don’t forget to visit the touch pools on the way out to get hands on with some of the creatures!

The workshop covers key ICT terminology and touches on the need for computers in everyday life. Don’t forget to check out Miniland where pupils can see thousands of models which are operated by 14 computers running programmes exactly like the ones they have written – it’s hard to miss with 215 pieces of animation just in Miniland…

Pupils can learn all about the history behind LEGO®, the business behind LEGOLAND®, recent marketing campaigns, our company structure and strategy, and our training and recruitment processes.

The workshop can be made applicable to your particular course of study and if the resort is then used in further study, you will have a direct contact to liaise with for any questions. The workshop is extremely relevant for students studying Business Studies, Travel and Tourism, Marketing and Media Studies.

Your visit to the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort will provide an opportunity for your pupils to go on an exciting educational ‘quest’ – either the Time Traveller Quest or the Globetrotter Quest. Part of each quest will help your pupils understand what it is like to be an active geographer by trying out these key mapping skills: reading a map, using co-ordinates and using keys.
