Christmas at LEGOLAND FAQs

Why do annual pass holders have to pay to experience Christmas at LEGOLAND Windsor?

Our Christmas celebrations are an exclusive seasonal event for our guests to enjoy the festive season in the heart of LEGOLAND. With only a limited number of people entering the Resort each day, we want to maintain the exclusivity of the event for all.

Included within the price of each ticket

- Meet and greet with Father Christmas

- Unlimited use of a small number of rides and attractions

- A special Christmas gift for each child ticket holder when they meet Father Christmas

- A free hot drink for adult ticket holders

- Standard 10% saving in our shops and 20% in our restaurants

The Beginning will be open as usual for guests wishing to take part in our Christmas shopping experience. The Big Shop, Hill Top Cafe and Star Wars™ Miniland Model Display will be accessible to all guests and do not require a Christmas ticket.

Annual Pass holders have also been given a special 25% saving on Christmas event ticket purchases, as well as special pre-book window in which to book their family adventure.

A valid Annual Pass must be presented when you arrive at the Resort.

Why are child tickets the same price as adult tickets?

This is a family experience which has been designed to be enjoyed by both children and parents alike. This exclusive Christmas event is designed to celebrate the magic of Christmas in the surroundings of LEGOLAND, and will provide enjoyment and entertainment from the littlest tots, to granny and grandpa!

How much are tickets?

Standard day tickets are £20 for adults and children.

Annual pass tickets are £15 for adults and children.

A child is aged 2-11. Under 2s are free.

What is the policy for under 2s?

Under 2s can enter LEGOLAND Windsor for free and therefore do not need a ticket. Children aged 2 and up will need to purchase a child ticket.

When booking, you will need to enter a valid Annual Pass number with your booking. For children between 2 - 3 years old, please enter the Annual Pass number of the parent or guardian who will be accompanying the child to the event.

Please be aware if a child under 2 is visiting Father Christmas, an additional charge of £5 will apply if they want to receive a present from Father Christmas. When you arrive at the Resort, please visit The Beginning Guest Services prior to your timeslot to buy a special gift ticket which can then be redeemed for a gift at Father Christmas’s grotto.

Can any Annual Pass holder purchase a Christmas Annual Pass holder ticket?

Premium LEGOLAND Annual Passes, LEGOLAND Lifetime Annual Passes, Premium Merlin Annual Passes, Standard Merlin Annual Passes and Merlin Members can purchase our discounted Christmas tickets. Pre-School Annual Pass holders will need to purchase our standard Christmas tickets. Please ensure that you bring your valid annual pass with you when you arrive at the Resort.

I'm an Annual Pass Holder and I haven't received any information about Christmas at LEGOLAND. Why is this?

Our latest enewsletter about our Christmas Experience has been sent to our LEGOLAND Annual Pass Holders only. A separate enewsletter will soon be sent to Merlin Annual Pass Holders with further details shortly. In the meantime, please do feel free to pre-book your discounted Annual Pass tickets now.

Can I buy tickets on the day?

No, tickets can only be booked in advance online. Due to the limited number of guests allowed to meet Father Christmas per day, there is a fixed capacity of tickets on sale. Early booking is strongly recommended.

Can I use a discount voucher to pay for my ticket? I have a Kelloggs/Tesco/Nectar voucher?

Unfortunately we won’t be accepting discount vouchers as payment for our Christmas event tickets.

How do I book my time to meet Father Christmas?

When you book your tickets, you will be directed to a calendar page with timeslots to pick from. The time you select is the time you will be permitted to enter the Grotto to meet Father Christmas and not the time you can enter the Resort. The Resort opens each day from 11am.

Do I have to meet Father Christmas?

No, your visit to meet Father Christmas is optional for all our guests taking part in our Christmas experience. If you do not wish to meet him, simply don’t head to the Grotto at the time stipulated on your ticket.

What if I miss my designated time slot to meet Father Christmas?

We advise all guests to arrive at the Grotto at least 10 minutes before their designated Father Christmas meet and greet time to ensure they get to meet him. With a structured schedule, we cannot guarantee that families that miss their time slot will get the opportunity to visit Father Christmas. If you are running late, please head to our Christmas Grotto and the Elves will be able to help.

I am visiting LEGOLAND from December 27. Will I still meet Father Christmas?

Father Christmas will be at LEGOLAND Windsor from 7– 24 December 2013. From the 27 December onwards, Father Christmas will be taking a well earned rest in the North Pole, so children will get to meet Bricks the Elf instead.

What present will my child receive when they see Father Christmas?

There will be two types of presents – one DUPLO present for toddlers and a LEGO present for older girls and boys.

What time does LEGOLAND open?

LEGOLAND’s 2013 Christmas experience is taking place during selected dates in December. Open dates include:

What should I do when I arrive at LEGOLAND?

Once you have arrived at the Resort, the turnstiles will be open for you to enter The Beginning. Your tickets to enter the LEGOLAND Christmas experience will be checked at the barrier next to the Hill Train so please have your print at home tickets printed and ready to be scanned. Do I need to buy a car park ticket?

No, car parking is free during our Christmas experience so there is no need to pre-purchase a car park ticket or buy one on the day of your visit.

I am staying at the LEGOLAND Windsor Hotel. At what time and where do I enter the Resort?

How long will our experience at LEGOLAND last?

With rides, cookie decorating, bauble making as well as a special Father Christmas meet and greet there are plenty of Christmas activities for you and your family to enjoy. We suggest you need a minimumof 4 hours to enjoy everything including your Father Christmas meet and greet.

Are there reindeer?

There will be plenty of LEGO surprises at the LEGOLAND Christmas experience but this won't include live reindeer.

I am bringing a disabled child with me to the Resort? What will they be able to enjoy?   Meet and greet experiences and bauble building are great for any fan of LEGO to enjoy. Some of the rides that are open do have accessibility requirements – details of which can be found here

Will you still be offering Ride Access Passes during your Christmas Experience?

Due to fewer people entering the Resort per day, we don’t anticipate the need for there to be queues to experience the rides that are open. Consequently, we won’t be offering Ride Access Passes during our Christmas experience.

I am a carer, can I still enter the Resort for free?

Yes, we will still be offering free carer tickets to LEGOLAND. On arrival, please head to our admissions building with your pre-paid print at home ticket. On presentation of your carer documentation, you will be able to collect your free carer ticket.

It is snowing and I can’t make it to LEGOLAND! What should I do?

No matter what the weather conditions are like at LEGOLAND Windsor, we will do all we can to ensure that guests can enter the Resort and we will take the necessary steps to prepare for seasonal weather conditions. We will keep all our guests updated with the latest news on our website, Facebook and Twitter pages.

In the event that there is extreme localised weather where you are travelling from, please contact our Customer Services team who will be happy to help.

Will all the rides still be available if it is snowing?

In adverse weather conditions, some of our rides may have to close. We will make sure to let our guests know about our ride availability when they arrive.

Is the bus to LEGOLAND still running?

Please check online for details of public transport links

Can I cancel my booking or get a refund?

All tickets are non-transferable and non-refundable for our Christmas experience.
