LEGO Friends meeting a guest at Merlin's Magic Wand Fun Festival at LEGOLAND Windsor Resort

Merlin's Magic Wand

The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort’s primary concern is for children. We are delighted to support Merlin Entertainments’ special children’s charity – Merlin’s Magic Wand – who supports children facing challenges of serious illness, disability or adversity around the world.

By providing tickets and financial support in the form of travel grants, they help thousands of children and their families to have magical days out every year. For children who are too unwell for a day out, they deliver exciting Taking the Magic to the Children projects, ranging from sensory rooms to specially adapted playgrounds.

To find out more about Merlin’s Magic Wand, the eligibility criteria and how you can apply for tickets to LEGOLAND Windsor, please visit www.merlinsmagicwand.org

Please note that Merlin’s Magic Wand works directly with children, families and organisations that will benefit from a day out and is unable to provide tickets to assist with fundraising through raffles and auctions.

Sensory Garden at the Alexander Devine Children's Hospice

Local Charities

Our local charity partner is Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service who we work with to arrange magical experiences for the families supported by the charity. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort created a sensory garden for the new Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice. For more information visit www.alexanderdevine.org

The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort also has a partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Children’s Services team to offer a set of free tickets to all foster carer families living within the Royal Borough.

Beluga Whale being rehomed at new Beluga Whale Sanctuary in Iceland thanks to SEA LIFE Trust

Beluga Whale Sanctuary

Five years ago, Merlin Entertainments embarked on developing the world’s first Beluga Whale Sanctuary on a remote island called Heimaey, off the south coast of Iceland.

Thanks to the incredible support and commitment of a global team of marine biologists and leading experts, the SEA LIFE Trust has successfully rehomed  two amazing beluga whales, Little Grey and Little White, in a more natural environment on the island at Klettsvik Bay.

This moment is a huge leap forward for future whale and dolphin conservation and a landmark for everyone at Merlin Entertainments, who have been involved or followed this story every step of the way.

We're so grateful for everyone's support so far. SEA LIFE Trust’s care for these whales is far from over, and each month the cost to the SEA LIFE Trust Beluga Whale Sanctuary is £37,000. Please donate here.
