Covid-19 – Information for Guests

Further to recent updates from the Government on the response to the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak, we have taken the very difficult decision to close the LEGOLAND Windsor theme park from 5pm this Friday 20th March as a precautionary measure. The health and wellbeing of our employees and guests is always our priority and we believe that this is the right decision to continue to protect everyone.

The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort Hotel remains open for guests and we will provide updates on our website should this change at any point.

Frequently Asked Questions

A: The decision to close the LEGOLAND Windsor theme park and Resort Hotels temporarily is based on the latest guidance from the Government in response to the Covid-19 outbreak.

A: The LEGOLAND Windsor theme park and Resort Hotels will remain closed until further notice.  We are in contact with the relevant authorities and will work to reopen the theme park to guests as soon as it’s appropriate to do so.  We will be contacting guests with bookings to visit the theme park between today (19th March 2020) and 24th April inclusive to advise them on how to rearrange or cancel their bookings.

A:  If you have booked a park ticket to visit the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort between 21st March and 24th April inclusive your ticket will be now be valid for use during the 2020 season and no further action is required. Please note:

  • If you have an off-peak ticket it is valid for any off-peak day during the 2020 season.
  • If you have a peak ticket it is valid for any peak day during the 2020 season.
  • If you have a super-peak ticket it is valid for any super-peak day during the 2020 season.

A: If your booking is between 19th March and 23rd April, you will be contacted via email by our Short Breaks team.  You can also use the Manage My Booking area of the Short Breaks website https://mybooking.legolandholidays.co.uk/ to cancel your booking and receive a refund, or to choose a voucher to be used to rebook at a later date during the 2020 season.  Information on how to do this will be set out in the email from our team.

If the closure extends beyond 24th April, then any bookings for arrival whilst the park is closed will be contacted in due course and will be subject to the same process.

If you wish to move your booking, please call our Short Breaks team, contact details can be found on your booking confirmation.

Please understand that we are prioritising guests with bookings in the next few weeks. Any park ticket and short breaks bookings for stays 24th April 2020 or beyond will, at this time, be subject to regular terms and conditions, if you wish to cancel, you will be subject to cancellation charges as per the terms & conditions. If you purchased the cancellation protection, you can cancel and receive a full refund for the cost of your booking, excluding the cost of the cancellation protection. You can move your booking to another date, if you wish to move your stay, please contact our Short Breaks team using the contact information located on your booking confirmation.

A: If your booking is during the period when the Resort is closed, you will be contacted via email by our Short Breaks team. You can use the Manage My Booking area of the Short Breaks website to cancel your stay and receive a refund or choose a voucher to be used to book a future break during our 2020 season.  Information on how to do this will be set out in the email from our team.

Any short breaks bookings for stays beyond 24th April 2020 will, at this time, be subject to regular terms and conditions, if you wish to cancel, you will be subject to cancellation charges as per the terms & conditions. If you purchased the cancellation protection, you can cancel and receive a full refund for the cost of your booking, excluding the cost of the cancellation protection. You can move your booking to another date, if you wish to move your stay, please contact our Short Breaks team using the contact information located on your booking confirmation.

A: As the resort is closed, we will be extending your LEGOLAND Annual Passes to account for the period of time that the resort is closed. We’ll be taking care of this for you, so there’s no need to get in touch with our customer service team.

Your existing Passes will be automatically extended in our ticketing system – so once our attractions reopen, your Passes will scan as normal at the ticket barriers. You are not required to have your LEGOLAND Annual Pass cards reprinted.

A: The number of months added to your LEGOLAND Annual Passes will be based on the duration of the resort closure.

For example:

  • We will add 1 month extra for a 2 – 4 week closure
  • We will add 2 months extra for a 5 – 8 week closure
  • We will add 3 months extra for a 9 – 12 week closure

A: The time in which you had left to collect your passes from the 20th March, will be added onto your collection time from when the Resort re-opens. For example if you had 2 weeks left to collect as of the 20th March, you will have 2 weeks to collect when we re-open.

You will now be able to use these tickets up until the 30th June 2020. Should the Resort need to stay closed for longer than expected we will be sure to update this.
