Guests With Disabilities 

What is a Ride Access Pass?

Ride Access Passes may be used by eligible guests to access up to ten (10) rides via the ride exit during their day. The special access is intended to provide a reduced waiting time compared to the standard queue line although this cannot always be guaranteed. Each pass allows up to three people to benefit from this special access if they are visiting the Park with the disabled guests.

This of course does not limit the guests from enjoying any of the other shows and other activities on the Park as many times as they choose, including any of the rides, by joining the standard queue lines which on a quiet day in any case will offer speedy, trouble free access.

Please not that the Ride Access Pass may also be used to access the Hill Train via the exit an unlimited number of times (this is in addition to the special access to ten other rides provided by the pass).

Please note that having a registered disability does not automatically guarantee receiving a Ride Access Pass. We reserve the right to make changes to, or withdraw, the Ride Access policy withour priory notice.

Who is Eligible?

Ride Access Passes are reserved for guests with disabilities which prevent them from queuing. For example, guests who do not understand the concept of queuing; have difficulties with everyday social interaction; have a limited capacity to follow instruction or to understand others’ emotional feelings or expressions, and may therefore become agitated or distressed if they had to queue for a ride for an extended period of time.

 
In view of the level of accessibility in the Resort, wheelchair users are not eligible for a Ride Access Pass. For those rides and attractions where wheelchair access is via the exit, a Ride Access Pass is not required. For more information please refer to our Accessibility Guide.

Accepted Forms of Proof 

The issuance of Ride Access Passes is based upon documentary proof of disability (blue or orange badges will not be accepted as this does not state the nature of the disability). 

Examples of documentation required are:

• GP’s letter
• Association Membership details
• Council run membership
• Any other form that states the disability

Please note, Disability Living Allowance (DLA) letters are not sufficient as they do not state the nature of the disability. Our staff are not medically trained so unless there is a disability clearly stated we are unable to know what services are required. Guests without suitable documentation will not be issued with a Ride Access Pass. Guests will be required to sign a Ride Access Pass declaration on production of suitable documentation. Documentation will need to be presented for each Ride Access Pass application.

 
Photographic identification is needed on each and every occasion an application for a Ride Access Pass is made at Guest Services.

The decision as to what evidence is suitable rests with the Resort staff. If in doubt, please contact Guest Services in advance. 

Why 10 Rides?

This is to ensure that queues at our ride exits remain manageable and to prevent long queues from occurring in these areas. The new Ride Access Pass was developed following a review with an independent accessibility consultant in order to improve the experience of guests with disabilities.

Following feedback from guests, a survey of users of our previous exit scheme was conducted and showed that the majority experienced 8 or fewer rides during their visit. Given this data, we believe that special access to 10 rides during the day is fair to all our guests.

Limited Ride Use?

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort does not place any restrictions on the number of rides and attractions that a guest (disabled or otherwise) may experience during their visit. Guests who are eligible for Ride Access Passes may still use the standard queue lines to access rides if they have used all of their Ride Access Pass tokens or where they fee the queue is short enough that use of the Ride Access Pass is not required.

Please note that the Ride Access Pass is not required to access Miniland, our play areas, DUPLO Theatre shows, 4D shows or the Pirates of Skeleton Bay Stunt Show.

Pass Distribution

Each eligible guest is entitled to receive one Ride Access per day, for use on that day only.

Lost Ride Access Pass

We regret that lost passes will not be replaced.

Collection Point 

Guests who qualify for the Ride Access Pass should go to Guest Services, either in The Beginning or in LEGO City, with suitable documentation stating the nature of their disability.

Parking

A designated car park, close to the entrance of the Resort, is reserved for guests with disabilities. This is clearly signposted from the main access road and is filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Please display your disability badge on your vehicle windscreen.  Parking tickets can be purchased for £3 for the day at the ticket booths, Guest Services or online before your visit here. 

Buying tickets and entering the Park

LEGOLAND Windsor Resort does not wish to discriminate against guests with disabilities, therefore the full admission rate will be charged. However, if a guest is accompanied by their helper, a free ticket is available for that helper when suitable evidence of the disability is presented at any of the ticket booths. 

Guests who require help purchasing their tickets should speak to a staff member who will be happy to assist them.

Wheelchair users will be able to enter the Park via the gate on the far left of the turnstiles.

Annual Pass

Guests with a disability can obtain a transferable helper’s Annual Pass.  Please visit the Annual Pass Room for more details. Suitable documentation evidencing the disability together with the disabled guest's Annual Pass must be shown.

Wheelchair Hire

Manual wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis from the LEGO BIG Shop in The Beginning. They can not be booked in advance. A refundable deposit is required.

Toilets

Each toilet block has at least one toilet accessible to guests with disabilities. An additional toilet is situated in the Baby Care Centre in LEGO City. These are all clearly marked. Each wheelchair accessible toilet is fitted with an alarm that can be activated in an emergency.

First Aid 

The First Aid Centre is located in LEGO City. Entrance is through Guest Services. Qualified First Aid staff will be on duty at all times. Guests who wish to change or undertake their own special treatments may use our first aid facilities.
