Your Home in Miniland Competition

These terms and conditions prevail in the event of any conflict or inconsistency with any other communications, including advertising or competition materials. Entry and claim instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by participating, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. Please retain a copy of these terms and conditions for your information.

• Promoter
  • The promoter of this competition is LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort (the "Promoter").
• The Competition
  • The competition will involve Eligible Entrants sharing a photograph of their home and detailing why their home should be constructed as a miniature LEGO®model to be displayed in the Promoter’s Miniland attraction at LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort (the "Competition").
  • The Competition will run from 00:01 GMT on 28 February 2022 until 23:59 GMT on 7 March 2022 (the "Closing Date"). The winner of the Competition (the “Winner”) will be notified by email on or before 11 March 2022 (the "Announcement Date").
• Eligibility
• To be eligible to enter the Competition, entrants must obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian. Entrants must obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian who must make the Entry on their behalf.  Entrants must also be aged 5-13 and resident in the UK and must not be employees or immediate family members of employees of Purplebricks, LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, LEGO Company Limited, Merlin Entertainments Group, their agents or anyone professionally connected to this Competition ("Eligible Entrants").
• In entering the Competition, the participant confirms that he/she is eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize he/she may win. The Promoter may require the entrant to provide proof that he/she is eligible to enter the competition and/or claim any prize he/she may win.
  • Eligible Entrants and a parent or legal guardian must be available to attend LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort on the model unveiling day in the event that their Entry is selected as the Winner. The model unveiling day is expected to be between 11 April 2022 and 14 April 2022, but this date may change for reasons outside of the control of the Promoter. Upon a Winner being selected, the Winner will be notified of the date of the unveiling day at least 7 days before the unveiling day. The Winner will be required to confirm that they are able to attend the model unveiling day.
  • The Winner agrees to co-operate (and to procure the co-operation of his/her companions who share in the benefits of the prize) with any reasonable requests by the Promoter relating to any post-winning publicity. The Promoter will (in accordance with its legal obligations) publish the winner’s name and county on its website e.g. Mr Smith from London. The Winner may object to their information being published or made available or request a reduction in the amount of information made available by writing to the Promoter at Press Office, LEGOLAND Windsor, Winkfield Road, Windsor SL4 4AY or emailing the promoter at pressoffice@legoland.co.uk within [1] days of being notified that theirs was the winning Entry.
  • By entering, Eligible Entrants and their parent or legal guardian confirm they will partake in media and marketing communications with an image of the winning home being released. The Promoter will take all necessary steps to pixelate the house number/name from any image.
  • The Promoter will not release the house number/name or street name of the winning home.
  • It will be the responsibility of the Eligible Entrant and their parent or legal guardian to ensure that their Entry does not contain, or reference trademarks, logos or designs owned by third parties. The Promoter will not be responsible for any infringement of third party intellectual property rights by any Eligible Entrant.
  • Only Entries from individuals will be accepted. Any Entries that the Promoter believes have been made (a) via participation in a syndicate, and/or (b) using any robotic, automatic, programmed or similar entry method, will be disqualified from the Competition.
  • Any Entry that, in the sole opinion of the Promoter, is deemed to be inappropriate for publication is ineligible. Incomplete or illegible Entries will be disqualified from the Competition.
  • In the event of circumstances outside its reasonable control, the Promoter reserves the right to void, suspend or cancel the Competition where it becomes necessary to do so, or amend or alter the terms of the promotion at any time, but will always endeavour to minimise the effect on participants to avoid undue disappointment.

• How to Enter
  • Eligible Entrants (or their parent or legal guardian) must enter the Competition by visiting www.legoland.co.uk/minilnadhome (the "Website"), following the instructions to complete the registration form, uploading an image (photograph) of the exterior view of the home of the Eligible Entrant that will be constructed from LEGO®at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, and placed in Miniland located within the theme park (“Entry”/ “Entries”).
  • The image submitted must be clear and in colour.
  • Entries submitted as JPEG images must not exceed 20MB in file size.
  • No purchase is necessary for Entries to be submitted.
  • There is a limit of one Entry per Eligible Entrant.
  • Eligible Entrants must submit their Entry under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian to ensure that they have followed the correct online procedure for submitting their Entry and provided all the required information. Alternatively, a parent or legal guardian may submit the Entry on behalf of the Eligible Entrant.
  • All Entries must be received by the Promoter before the Closing Date. All Entries received after the Closing Date will be automatically disqualified from the Competition. The Promoter does not accept responsibility for Entries that are lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
• Winner selection
  • Entries will be reviewed a panel of 4 judges (the "Judging Panel"). Entries will be evaluated based on (a) the description you submit of why your home would make an amazing LEGO creation for Miniland (the "Judging Criteria").
  • The decision of the Judging Panel is final and not open to appeal. No discussion will be entered into with disappointed entrants who challenge the decision of the Judging Panel.
  • The Promoter will send the full names of the judges on the Judging Panel to Eligible Entrants (and their parents or legal guardians) who have written to the Promoter to request this information within one calendar month after the Closing Date of the and who enclose a self-addressed envelope to FAO LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort Miniland, The Mansion, LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort, Winkfield Road, Windsor, SL4 4AY.
  • The surname and county of the Winner will be published on the LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort website for 365 days after the announcement of the Winner.
  • The Promoter will make all reasonable efforts to contact the Winner to notify them that they have been selected the Competition Winner within [1] days of the Announcement Date. If the Winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to efforts to contact them within 2 days after the Announcement Date; and/ or is not available to attend the unveiling day and/ or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Announcement Date, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize to the Eligible Entrant whose Entry considered to be the next best Entry by the Judging Panel.
  • The Winner will be contacted by the Promoter to provide further reference images of the Entrant’s home to assist them with the design and construction of the LEGO Model.
• The Prize
  • The prize is the opportunity for the Winner’s home (exterior only) to be replicated and constructed as a 1:20 scale LEGO® model and displayed in the Miniland attraction of the theme park within the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort. The Winner, their immediate family and their car will also be created to be displayed (“Prize”). For avoidance of doubt, the Winner shall not receive any LEGO® as part of the Prize.
  • Only one Prize will be awarded and there will only be one Winner. The LEGO® model will be unveiled at the theme park between 11 April 2022 and 14 April 2022 and the Winner will place the last brick on the model at a video and photo shoot at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort on the unveiling day. As well as winning the he Prize, the Winner will also be provided with entry tickets to the theme park for the date of the unveiling. Travel, food, drink and incidental expenses will not be covered by LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort. The Winner and their companions will be responsible for any expenses they may incur in claiming their Prize.
  • The winning model will remain in Miniland indefinitely or at least until the end of December 2022 and will remain the property of the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort.
  • No cash alternative for the prize will be offered and the Prize is not negotiable or transferable. All other terms and conditions of entry to LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort shall apply as available on the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort website: https://www.legoland.co.uk/security-privacy-legal/terms-conditions/legoland-hotel/ and https://www.legoland.co.uk/security-privacy-legal/terms-conditions/park/ .
• General
  • All Entries submitted shall become the property of LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort and will not be returned.
  • All Entries are subject to approval by the Promoter. In particular, the Promoter will reject Entries which are offensive, abusive, misleading, unethical, discriminating or defaming in nature.
  • By submitting an Entry, the Eligible Entrant and their parent or legal guardian are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. Entries must be the sole work of the Eligible Entrant. Any plagiarised Entry, or any Entry that is not the sole work of the Eligible Entrant will be disqualified from the Competition. Entries must be unique and not have previously been published or received any prize or reward.
  • Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its parent company, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the Winner or accept liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its parent company, its agents or distributors or that of their employees.
  • All Entries and any accompanying material submitted to the Promoter will become the property of the Promoter on receipt and will not be returned. By submitting an Entry and any accompanying material, the Eligible Entrant agrees to assign to the Promoter all intellectual property rights and waive all moral rights in the competition Entry and otherwise arising in connection with the Entry to which the Eligible Entrant may now or any time in the future be entitled.
  • By entering, the Eligible Entrant and their parent or legal guardian acknowledges that the Entry may be posted on the Promoter's website and on social media, but that the Promoter is not obliged to use, post or display any Entry submitted. LEGOLAND®Windsor Resort shall have full right and power to copy, publish, broadcast, display, distribute, use, edit, alter, combine with other material, refuse and adapt any or all proportions of Entries in any way and for any purpose whatsoever, at any time, now or in the future, in any media.
  • By entering this Competition, the Eligible Entrant and their parent or legal guardian agrees that, in the event that the Eligible Entrant is the Winner, the Promoter and its parent company may use the Eligible Entrant's name, image and town or county of residence to announce the Winner and for any other reasonable and related promotional purposes. It is further agreed that the Eligible Entrant will participate in any reasonable publicity required by the Promoter.
  • If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to disqualify the Eligible Entrant from participating in the Competition.
  • If any of these clauses should be determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable then it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and conditions and the remaining clauses shall survive and remain in full force and effect.
  • The Promoter reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time on giving notice via http://www.legoland.co.uk/minilandhome
  • The Promoter will only use the personal details supplied for the administration of this Competition and for no other purpose, unless we have the Eligible Entrant’s and/or a parent or legal guardian’s consent. The Eligible Entrant’s personal details will at all times be kept confidential and processed in accordance with current Data Protection legislation. Click here for the Promoter’s Privacy Policy. The Eligible Entrant or their parent or legal guardian can request access to their personal data, or have any inaccuracies rectified, by sending an email to pressoffice@legoland.co.uk. By participating in the Competition, the Eligible Entrant (or their parent or legal guardian on their behalf) acknowledges that their personal data shall be used as described here.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and Eligible Entrants and their parents/legal guardians agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
