At the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort we do it all For the Love of FUN!
However, check out just a few of the awesome benefits you’ll have access to…
We caught up with one of our Aquarists, to find out more about the awesome job they do at the Resort...
How did you get in to your job?
I studied Marine Biology at the University of Southampton, before completing my masters in Great White Shark biology. This saw me spending time working in South Africa, on a cage diving boat, where I studied the behaviour of Great White Sharks over 3 years. I then started working at SeaLife London Aquarium as a Guest Experience Host, before landing the job of Aquarist at LEGOLAND.
What does ‘a day in the life’ look like?
Every day is different, though on a daily basis we’ll carry out morning checks on the animals and systems, before cleaning and preparing the aquarium for opening. Throughout the day we do feed rounds for the animals and carry out daily medical checks on new arrivals in quarantine. We could also be diving in the main exhibit, which is great fun! We’re also out in the aquarium teaching guests about our amazing animals!
What’s the best thing about your job?
Diving our main exhibit which is 1.25 million litres, with 11 sharks, 8 stingrays and over 1100 other animals! It never gets old when you're cleaning LEGO models and you turn around to come face to face with Bubble or Squeak, one of our friendly Zebra Sharks!

Corporate Social Responsibility
The LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort’s primary concern is for children. We are delighted to support Merlin Entertainments’ special children’s charity – Merlin’s Magic Wand – who put the magic back into the childhoods of seriously ill, disabled and disadvantaged children across the world. By providing tickets and financial support in the form of travel grants, they help thousands of children and their families to have magical days out every year. For children who are too unwell for a day out, they deliver exciting Taking the Magic to the Children projects, ranging from sensory rooms to specially adapted playgrounds.
To find out more about Merlin’s Magic Wand, the eligibility criteria and how you can apply for tickets to LEGOLAND Windsor, please visit www.merlinsmagicwand.org Please note that Merlin’s Magic Wand works directly with children, families and organisations that will benefit from a day out and is unable to provide tickets to assist with fundraising through raffles and auctions.
Our local charity partner is Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service who we work with to arrange magical experiences for the families supported by the charity. The LEGOLAND Windsor Resort is also creating a sensory garden for the new Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice, which opens later in 2018. For more information visit www.alexanderdevine.org
Each year the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort donate a set of family tickets to every child attending one of twelve, state first schools in Windsor. The Resort also has a partnership with the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Children’s Services team to offer a set of free tickets to all foster carer families living within the Royal Borough.
