School Holiday Activities at LEGOLAND® Windsor

  • Thursday October 22nd 2026

Families enjoying Minifigure Speedway at LEGOLAND Windsor

Term time already asks a lot of parents, from school runs to homework. School holidays bring a different kind of challenge, like keeping children entertained without every day feeling the same.

A day at the LEGOLAND® Windsor Resort makes that easier. It mixes hands-on building, family rides and calmer moments, so children stay engaged without running out of steam too early.

This guide brings together the main school holiday activities across the park. That means LEGO® building attractions and Miniland, indoor options for wet days, family rides and seasonal events. Use it to shape a day that suits everyone in your family, whatever their energy levels.

LEGO Building Activities

Three LEGO build attractions all offer a different kind of building experience, perfect when planning kids’ school holiday activities. LEGO Ferrari Build & Race Experience lets visitors build, test and race their own Ferrari, and there’s a DUPLO® zone nearby designed for younger drivers.

The Brick is an open, family-wide building space with hundreds of thousands of bricks to share. Toddlers can stack their first few pieces, while older kids can attempt bigger models. Creature Creation invites children to build a mythical creature. Younger builders can follow one of LEGO MYTHICA's ready-made models, while older kids can start entirely fresh.

Little builders can also step inside the LEGO Insiders Clubhouse! Watch them act as ‘Play Testers’ in the Play Lab, taking on fun interactive challenges and unlocking The Vault for sneak peeks and surprises.

Miniland

Miniland is one of the calmer children's holiday activities at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort, and a natural stop between rides. Built from nearly 40 million bricks, it recreates iconic landmarks from across the UK, USA and Europe in miniature detail. The gentle pace works well for toddlers, and for anyone ready for a calmer moment between bigger rides.

Indoor Activities & Rainy Day Options

Spotting rain in the forecast after you've booked doesn't have to change your plans. Many activities and attractions at the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort are undercover, so there's still plenty to do if the weather turns.

As well as popular indoor experiences like Laser Raiders, there’s also Total Sensory Space that offers a calm indoor space for guests with additional needs, or anyone wanting a quieter break. Plenty of backup plan attractions for when it rains.

 Family Rides & New Attractions

Alongside the building and indoor spaces, the rides make up a core part of any activity holiday for kids. Minifigure Speedway puts young drivers behind the wheel in a duelling coaster race between Team Legends and Team All Stars.

Flight of the Sky Lion offers an immersive flying theatre experience for the whole family. The resort's 30th Birthday Celebrations also bring extra builds and additions across the park through 2026. Full details on height and age suitability for these and the wider ride line-up are covered in the planning section below.

Shows & Entertainment

Live shows and entertainment run throughout the day and building them into your school holiday activities plan can help structure things around rest points as well as rides. Checking the entertainment schedule on arrival makes it easier to work performance times around lunch, quick breaks and the rest of the day's plans.

Seasonal Events During School Holidays

Certain events run specifically during school holiday windows, adding extra activity on top of the regular day-to-day line-up. Expect themed play zones and live entertainment throughout the school holidays.

2026 also marks 30 years since the LEGOLAND Windsor Resort first opened! The resort's year-long 30th Birthday Celebrations run throughout the year. Highlights include a new opening show, an 8-foot LEGO birthday cake and much more to come!

Planning Tips, Age Suitability & Busy Periods

A little planning goes a long way with school holiday activities, particularly during busier periods such as half term. Checking height restrictions in advance helps little ones avoid disappointment on the day.

Booking online and using the mobile app for live queue times both help spread out the day when the park is busier. October half term and other school holiday weeks tend to be busier than a typical visit. Arriving close to opening can help the day start smoothly.
